Tsendze Rustic Camp
Our thoughts
Tsendze won our hearts with its simplicity. Setting up camp under those enormous trees with nothing but birdsong and the distant sound of elephants is exactly why we camp. The northern Kruger feels wilder and more remote than the south and Tsendze puts you right in the middle of it.

Overview
Tsendze Rustic Camp is one of Kruger's most appealing off-grid camping experiences, tucked away in the remote northern section of the park near Mopani. This is camping as it should be, no frills, no electricity, no distractions. Large shaded sites under beautiful trees, a genuine wilderness atmosphere, and outstanding birding in the surrounding mopane woodland make Tsendze a favourite among experienced Kruger campers. The camp is small and intimate, and the northern Kruger region around it is known for large elephant herds and excellent sightings of rare species like roan antelope and Lichtenstein's hartebeest.
