Endless Stories
Meet Pink & Pippa
Two Women. One Pink Mobile. A Million Adventures.
We’re Pink and Pippa, a dynamic duo with a shared love for travel, photography, and venturing off the beaten path. What started as a simple way to document our travels for friends and family has grown into something far more meaningful: GoandBeyond, our ever-evolving story of exploration, connection, and discovery across Africa and beyond.

How It All Began
When we launched GoandBeyond, it was just a digital journal, a place to share our experiences and photos with those back home. But as we crisscrossed Africa, it became clear that there was a gap: most travel resources focused on luxury lodges and curated experiences, often ignoring the wealth of affordable, authentic adventures just waiting to be had.
That’s where we come in!
We wanted to show that travel in Africa doesn’t have to be expensive or intimidating. Yes, we occasionally treat ourselves to five-star lodges (who doesn’t love a bit of pampering?), but we’re just as passionate about uncovering hidden gems, remote campsites, quirky guesthouses, and wild places that rarely make it into glossy brochures.
Is It Safe?
We get asked this a lot: "Is it really okay for two women to travel like this?"
The short answer? Absolutely.
We’ve driven across countries, through wild terrain and bustling towns, and the kindness we’ve experienced has been overwhelming. Sure, we’ve had the odd flat tire or breakdown, but more often than not, it’s the locals who jump in to help, with smiles, spanners, and stories to share. We’ve learned that with common sense, good vibes, and mutual respect, the world is a much friendlier place than it’s often made out to be.
Meet the Pink Mobile
Our journey wouldn’t be possible without our trusty sidekick, a 22-year-old Mitsubishi Pajero lovingly known as Pink Mobile. She’s a bit rough around the edges, but full of character and charm. Towing behind her is our Afrispoor 4x4 trailer, affectionately called our off-the-grid oasis. Together, they’ve taken us to some of the most remote and magical corners of Africa, places many never get to see.
It’s Not Just Roughing It
One of the biggest challenges we faced was finding reliable transportation. Public transportation in Africa can be unreliable and inconvenient, especially if you want to explore remote areas. That’s why we decided to invest in our trusty Pink Mobile, a 22-year-old Mitsubishi Pajero that has become our home away from home. We also purchased an Afrispoor 4×4 trailer, which we lovingly refer to as our “off-the-grid oasis.” This has allowed us to venture off the beaten path and discover hidden corners of Africa that few have seen.
But it’s not all about roughing it in the wilderness. We also believe in treating ourselves to luxury accommodations when the opportunity arises. We have been fortunate enough to stay in some of the most luxurious lodges and game reserves in Africa, and we can’t wait to share our experiences with you.
Through the Lens
Photography is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a lion at golden hour or a local market brimming with life, we aim to capture the soul of a place through our lenses. Our photos aren’t just pretty pictures, they’re stories, snapshots of moments that invite you into our journey.
Why We Travel
Because life is short. Because the world is wide.
Because curiosity is a beautiful thing.
We believe travel is for everyone, not just the wealthy or the seasoned. If you’ve got a sense of adventure and an open heart, the road is calling. And we’re here to show you the way.
Come Along for the Ride
Whether you're planning your first road trip or love living vicariously through others, you’re welcome here. Through GoandBeyond, we share stories, honest travel tips, stunning photography, and real experiences from life on the road.
Let’s go beyond the ordinary, together.
