Nyalazi Camp Hluhluwe-iMfolozi
Our thoughts
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi never gets the attention it deserves compared to Kruger and that is precisely what makes it special. The rhino viewing is extraordinary and the hilly landscape is completely different from anything else in South African safari travel. We left wanting more.

Overview
Nyalazi Gate Camp sits at the entrance to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa and the park credited with saving the white rhino from extinction. The campsite offers a comfortable, well-shaded base for exploring one of KwaZulu-Natal's finest game reserves. Hluhluwe-iMfolozi is home to all of the Big Five along with exceptional populations of both white and black rhino. The hilly, diverse terrain of the park makes for dramatically different scenery from Kruger, and the game viewing is outstanding in all seasons.
